老年医学的宗旨是预防、**和管理与老年相关的所有疾病及问题，**限度地维持和恢复老年人的功能状态，提高其生活质量。为响应教育部关于加强国外教材的引进和双语教学的要求，我们以国际认可的老年医学经典教科书Hazzard’sGeriatricMedicineandGerontology为基础，结合国内外老年医学**进展，邀请国内知名教授及教学一线教师，对原版教材进行改编。原版书自1985年**出版，在JeffreyHalter教授**下，不断更新、修订，吸取世界老年医学发展的**内容，该书是一本对老年医学发展有重要指导价值的畅销巨著。本书共计3部分80章，包括老年医学原理、老年综合征、器官系统与疾病，分别介绍了老年学、药理学、老年营养与康复、老年共病、老年综合评估、围手术期管理，谵妄、衰弱、肌少症、睡眠障碍等常见老年综合征，神经、循环、呼吸、消化、肌肉骨骼系统，以及肾脏病学、**学、血液学、内分泌与代谢性疾病等。本书结合国内教学大纲及双语教学的要求，与时俱进，聚焦国内外老年医学研究热点，将基础医学与临床医学结合，文字规范、语言纯正、图文并茂。
