    After the establishment of the Constructional Protection Govemment, the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea appointed the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister General Sin Gyusik, as special envoy in October of that year to go to Guangzhou with credentials and talk with the Constitutional Protection Government of the Republic of China on the Recognition issue. After he arrived in Guangzhou, Sin Gyusik met with some key officials of the Constitutional Protection Government, including the Secretary-general and Senator of the Generalissimo's Mansion, Hu Hanmin, the President of the Dali Yuan (Supreme Court) Xu Qian, the Minister for Home Affairs, Lu Zhiyi, Foreign Minister Wu Tingfang, Finance' Minister Liao Zhongkai, and the President of the Senate Lin Sen, Vice-minister of the Military Administration, Cheng Qian and so ori. On November 3, Sun Yat- sen met with Sin Gyusik and other envoys. In the interview, Sin Gyusik requested the Constitutional Protection Government to support the Korean

    revolution and recognize the Provincial Government. He also presented Sun with the reciprocal treaty written by the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea, the main contents of which were as follows: (1) The Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea recognizes the Con- stitutional Protection Government as the legitimate government of the Republic of China, and respects the chief and sovereignty of the government; (2) The Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea requests recognition from the Constitutional Protection Government of the Republic of China; (3) The Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea requests the admittance of Korean students into the military academies of the Republic of China:(4) The Provisional Go- vernment of the Republic of Korea requests a loan of 5,000,000 currency; (5) The Provi- sional Government of the Republic of Korea requests the lease of areas to foster theKorean Independence Army.
