本书稿由上海中国航海博物馆提供，为《**航海》系列的第二十五辑，收录了12篇学术论文。本辑选题广泛，既有涉及航海历史地理的文献考证研究，也有反映海洋文化的专题论述，还有近代中外航海交流的回顾，以及关于航海史研究的专题梳理等论文，可谓涵盖了航海研究中的历史地理考证、海洋经济、信仰文化、学术史梳理等多个方面，其中约三分之一篇目涉及清代航海的相关研究，反映了航海文化的多维面向。
