本书稿由上海中国航海博物馆提供，为《**航海》系列的第二十六辑，收录了12篇学术论文。本辑选题相对集中，其中关于元代刘家港的研究论文有3篇，从港口变迁、丝绸之路演变和朝代更替等角度论述了刘家港作为元代和明初**海港的兴衰过程；关于近代航海军事的论文有4篇，既有从军舰建造和火炮配置等细节角度做的研究，也有清末水师编制等较为宏观的研究，其他文章涉及了海外贸易、沉船考古、十三行行商等航海相关议题，可以说论题广泛，研究深入，一定程度上代表了当前航海领域的前沿学术水平。
